Yes, one phone case can sometimes fit more than one phone model—but you should never assume that it will. A case is only a safe multi-model choice when the fit has been confirmed for those exact models. Similar names, similar screen sizes or similar-looking camera layouts are not enough on their own.
Quick answer: before buying, confirm the full phone model and check whether the listing explicitly names it. The case shell needs the correct overall shape, camera opening, button positions, charging-port access, speaker openings and any other model-specific cutouts. If the listing uses separate model variants, choose the exact one for your phone.
Why phone-case compatibility can be confusing
Two phones can look almost identical in a product photo and still need different cases. Small differences in the body shape or placement of a camera, side button, fingerprint sensor, microphone or charging port can make an otherwise similar case fit badly or block something important.
The opposite can also happen: two or more phone models may use a case shell that has been confirmed to fit all of them. That is why the model name printed in a product title is not enough by itself. The useful question is: which exact models has this specific case been confirmed to fit?
What has to match for a phone case to fit?
| Part of the phone | Why it matters for the case |
|---|---|
| Overall body shape and dimensions | The case needs to sit around the phone without being too loose, too tight or misaligned. |
| Camera area | The opening or raised camera surround must match the position and shape of the camera section. |
| Side buttons | Button covers or openings need to line up with the phone's actual power and volume controls. |
| Charging port | The lower opening must leave the phone's charging port accessible. |
| Speakers and microphones | Openings should correspond with the phone's speaker and microphone positions. |
| Fingerprint-sensor or other model-specific openings | Some phones require a side or rear opening that another similar model may not use in the same position. |
A camera opening that appears to match does not prove the rest of the case will fit. The complete shell has to correspond with the phone.

Three different compatibility situations you may see
It helps to separate three situations that can look similar on a product page but mean different things.
1. The same case shell is confirmed for more than one model
Sometimes a specific case is genuinely supplied or verified as fitting multiple models. In that situation, the product page should name those models clearly instead of expecting the buyer to guess.
For example, in the current Everacs catalog, the Infinix Smart 8 / Smart 8 Plus Butterfly Pearl Bow Glitter Case is listed as compatible with both Infinix Smart 8 and Infinix Smart 8 Plus.
That does not mean every Smart 8 case everywhere should automatically be assumed to fit Smart 8 Plus. It means that specific Everacs listing has compatibility recorded for both models.
2. One confirmed case fit can span different model names—or even brands
Model names do not always tell you whether a particular accessory shell is shared. A listing may be confirmed for several exact devices even when their names are quite different.
One current Everacs example is the Infinix Smart 9 Rhinestone Butterfly Glitter Case. That specific case is currently listed as compatible with:
- Infinix Smart 9;
- Infinix Hot 50i; and
- TECNO Spark Go 1.
This is a useful example of why confirmed compatibility matters more than guessing from the brand name. It is also not a rule that every case made for one of those phones will fit all three. Compatibility must be checked for the individual product.
3. One product page can contain separate model-specific shells
A combined product page does not necessarily mean one physical case fits every model named in the title. Sometimes the listing groups similar designs together while the buyer still needs to select a different case shell for each phone.
For example, the current TECNO CAMON 40 / CAMON 40 Pro Butterfly Glitter Case offers separate CAMON 40 and CAMON 40 Pro variants. The design is grouped on one product page, but the case shell is model-specific. The correct phone model must be selected before ordering.
Everacs compatibility rule: the fact that two cases use the same colour, decoration or product photography style does not prove that the physical shells are interchangeable. We treat compatibility as a model-specific product detail and only connect models where the individual listing supports it.
Does the same screen size mean the same case will fit?
No. Screen size by itself is not enough to establish case compatibility. It describes the display, not the complete outer body, camera arrangement, button locations or port layout. Two phones can have similarly sized displays while still requiring different cases.
Use the full phone model—not a screen-size estimate—as the starting point.
Can you tell compatibility just by looking at the camera?
Not reliably. The camera opening is one useful clue, but it is only one part of the shell. A case can have a similar-looking camera cutout while the buttons, bottom openings, body shape or dimensions differ.
When comparing product photos, use them to confirm the listing's stated compatibility rather than using appearance alone to invent compatibility that the seller has not stated.
Does a similar model name mean the case is interchangeable?
No. Terms such as Pro, Plus, 4G, 5G or a model year can identify a physically different phone. Even when two devices belong to the same series, you should treat them as separate until the case listing specifically confirms otherwise.
This is particularly important when a product has a model selector. If the page offers separate model options, choose the exact option that matches the phone rather than selecting by colour alone.
How to check whether a case fits your phone
- Find the exact phone model. On many Android phones, open Settings → About phone. On iPhone, check Settings → General → About. Use the complete model name shown by the device.
- Read the compatibility section of the product page. Your exact model should be named explicitly.
- Check whether there is a model variant. If the listing offers separate phone-model options, select your exact model before choosing the final variant.
- Compare the visible physical layout. Look at the camera area, button positions and lower cutouts in the product photos where those details are visible.
- Do not fill in missing information yourself. If a similar phone is not listed, do not assume it is compatible.
- Ask before ordering if you are unsure. Send the full phone model to Everacs Contact & Model Help. You do not need to send your IMEI or serial number for ordinary model-fit help.
What if your exact model is not listed?
If your model does not appear in the compatibility information, the safest approach is to treat the fit as unconfirmed. A seller may later verify another compatible device, but that should happen before the purchase rather than after a customer discovers that a case does not line up properly.
You can search the current catalog using Find Your Phone. If no exact match appears, contact us with the full model name and we can check the compatibility information available for our products.
Quick compatibility checklist before you add a case to cart
- My complete phone model is named in the listing.
- I checked for Pro, Plus, 4G, 5G, year or other model-name differences.
- If the product has a phone-model selector, I selected the exact model.
- I did not rely only on screen size or camera appearance.
- I checked visible camera, button and port alignment where product photos show it.
- If the page does not confirm my phone, I will ask before ordering instead of guessing.
Frequently asked questions
Can a case fit two different phone models?
Yes, sometimes. The important point is that the individual case must be confirmed for both models. Do not assume compatibility only because the phones look similar.
Can one case fit phones from two different brands?
It can in specific confirmed situations. For example, one current Everacs case fit is listed for Infinix Smart 9, Infinix Hot 50i and TECNO Spark Go 1. That does not mean cases for those models are universally interchangeable; check each product separately.
If a product title contains two phone models, is it the same case?
Not always. A combined listing may contain separate model-specific shells. Read the compatibility details and model options before ordering.
